The e-ROSA project seeks to build a shared vision of a future sustainable e-infrastructure for research and education in agriculture in order to promote Open Science in this field and as such contribute to addressing related societal challenges. In order to achieve this goal, e-ROSA’s first objective is to bring together the relevant scientific communities and stakeholders and engage them in the process of coelaboration of an ambitious, practical roadmap that provides the basis for the design and implementation of such an e-infrastructure in the years to come.
This website highlights the results of a bibliometric analysis conducted at a global scale in order to identify key scientists and associated research performing organisations (e.g. public research institutes, universities, Research & Development departments of private companies) that work in the field of agricultural data sources and services. The potato variety Amflora, a starch potato with an increased content of amylopectin in tuber starch, is close to be approved within the EU under Directive 2001/18/EC for cultivation and processing into starch for industrial uses. General surveillance as outlined in the monitoring plan for Amflora details approaches, methods and responsibilities proposed to be used within the frame of a closed-loop cultivation system. This system, also referred to as an identity preservation (113) system, constitutes an important management tool in order to preserve the unique characteristics and the value of the potatoes modified for an increased amylopectin content in the tuber. Elements of the IP system, for example the farm questionnaire will be used as a basis to collect relevant data on plant growth, characteristics and treatments as well as to record general observations performed by the grower during cultivation and will thus allow for monitoring for any unanticipated or unforeseen effects during cultivation of amylopectin potatoes in the agricultural environment.
